🤠 Frequently Asked Questions

For the lovers, the loners, and the ones in between.

💎 How do I wear a bolo tie?

There’s no wrong way—only your way. Traditionally, wear the slide snug at the collar like a tie. For casual looks, loosen the slide and layer over a tee, knit, or open button-down.

Outlaw tip: Confidence is the best accessory. Mix metals, stack jewelry, or wear it with denim, silk, or anything that makes you feel feral and fabulous.

🧶 How do I straighten or care for the cords?
  • Simple reset: Hang your bolo from a hook or hanger for 24–72 hours to let gravity relax waves or bends.
  • Warm & smooth: Gently warm cords with your hands, then guide them straight with light, even tension.
  • Avoid heat tools: No irons or high heat.

Leather cords: Store hanging or flat. If they feel dry, use a tiny amount of neutral leather balm and buff lightly.

Nylon/paracord: If kinked, a brief pass of steam in a steamy bathroom can help—do not place directly on hot surfaces.

🪡 How are your bolo ties made?

Each Tender Outlaws bolo is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. We source stones, vintage cameos, buttons, ceramics, and oddities, then pair them with custom slides, braided cords, and metal tips. Every piece is assembled by hand in our studio—finished with care, grit, and a wink of camp.

No two are alike—just like the outlaws we make them for.
